Music MinistryJoin together in song, under the talented direction of our choir directors, Daniel Stucker and Scott Arkenberg, Schola Cantorum

The Contemporary Choir sings at the 7:00 p.m. Sunday Evening Mass. Rehersals are on Sunday afternoons at 5:45 p.m. in the church. Singers and instrumentalists (flute, violin, guitar) are always needed. For more information about this choral group and ensemble, please contact Scott Arkenberg at (773) 206-6785 or CantorsThese music leaders of sung prayer proclaim the psalm and help the community to raise its voice in song. Cantors are vocalists that are advanced in training and many take voice lessons to prepare for their ministry. Extra rehearsals and training are needed; many times the Gallery Choir choristers serve as Saturday and Sunday cantors as well. RosaryUnite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. Meditative hymns are sung, along with the recitation of the Rosary. No experience required. Eucharistic AdorationThe second Thursday of the month the Blessed Sacrament is exposed after the 5:30 p.m. mass. Everyone is invited to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. The Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the service will conclude with Benediction. Finance CouncilAdvises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Appointments are at the invitation of the Pastor. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Michael Parish. Each year new members approved by the Pastor are received into the council as terms expire. Watch the bulletin for the new member drive. Stations of the CrossHeld Friday afternoons at 3:00 PM in the Chapel during Lent. |
