March Calendar of Activities

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

As we enter the Period of Purification and Enlightenment, we journey with our Elect to the Easter Sacraments. Watch the bulletin for their pictures and their biographies. Parishioners are encouraged to adopt one or more to pray for during the season of Lent and to send them a card of welcome at Easter.

  • February 21: All day retreat.

  • February 22: No regular meeting on Sunday

  • February 25: Ash Wednesday Session till 9PM following the 7PM evening Mass. Readings for the 1st Sunday of Lent.

  • March 1: 11 AM: Special: Rite of Sending

  • March 8: Noon: Fr. Ken

  • March 15: First Scrutiny Rite: 7PM Mass. Session at 5PM with Fr. Tom.

  • March 22: Second Scrutiny Rite: 11AM Mass. Session at Noon with Fr. Richard.

  • March 29: Third Scrutiny Rite: 9AM Mass. Session at 10AM with Fr. Joe.

Religious Education for Students

Focus for the month: The Season of Lent and Operation Rice Bowl

  • March 8: Special: Family Mass 9:00 a.m. Celebration Girl Scouts. Usual class time to follow

  • March 14: Special: First reconciliation for Level 2 students at 12:45 PM. Other Religious Ed. Families invited and encouraged to attend.

  • March 15 and 22: Usual class time 9:30 - 10:50 a.m.

  • March 29: Usual class time 9:30 - 10:50 a.m. Testing for Level 2

Social Outreach

  • The Religious Education Program will sponsor Operation Rice Bowl during Lent. Donations are collected at home during the season of Lent and brought to Church on Holy Thursday. All parishioners are invited to participate.

Adult Education Opportunities

  • Journey through Lent is a 6 week series beginning on Wednesday, March 4th and continuing through April 1st. The meetings will be reflections on the Sunday readings as we focus on a prayerful journey through the Lenten Season. Sessions will begin at 7PM and end at 8:30 p.m. The group will meet in the Lounge. Inquirers to the faith are especially encouraged to join the group.

  • Little Rock Bible Study on the Book of Exodus continues with Fr. Joe leading this study. The session meeting on Tuesday nights in the West Room of the Parish Center beginning at 7pm. They last about 11/2 hours.

Catechist Meeting

  • March 26: Evening of Reflection with Fr. John Boivin at Holy Name Cathedral
