Concerts
St. Michael hosts various concerts throughout the year. One of
the most popular is our Concert of Wedding Music, at which a
variety of wedding music is performed by instrumentalists and
vocalists. The concert serves to help brides select their music
as well as provide parishioners with the opportunity to
experience an afternoon of beautiful sounds in our church. This
concert is performed twice a year. From time to time, other
seasonal concerts are scheduled.
Upcoming Concerts and Events CHRISTMAS CONCERT SINGERS We are looking for singers (hopefully many from our own parish) to form a 60-voice chorale for our Christmas Concert which will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 7:30 p.m. We will be singing G.F. Handel's "Messiah" (Part I - Advent and Christmas), and, yes, we will be adding "Hallelujah!" The second half of the concert will include Christmas Carols with the well-known Chicago Children's Choir, our Concert Chorale and congregation. Rehearsals will begin in October. This is a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas and a lot of fun. High school age and up are welcome.
